MANILA – Bernadette Sembrano and Gretchen Fullido had tears in their eyes as they watched their alma mater, the University of the Philippines (UP), beat Adamson University at the UAAP men's basketball tournament on Wednesday.
Kim "Kuya Kim" Atienza, presenter of "TV Patrol" and former UP, has documented the moment of emotion in a video that he shared on his Twitter page Thursday.
'Masisira' yung makeup ko! Fullido said, a former reporter at the court for UP, wiping her tears.
Sembrano can be seen throwing his fist in the air to encourage his school.
The video also shows Noli de Castro, longtime presenter of "TV Patrol", a graduate of the University of East.
Atienza asked De Castro to react to the victory of the UP, which said jokingly: "Eh pagbigyan na natin, mag-40 taon nang hindi nakakatikim huh."
