MANILA – Actress Heart Evangelista wrote a birthday message for the late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, whom she considered her mentor.
Evangelista published Saturday on Instagram a series of photos of her with Santiago, accompanied by a heartwarming message.
"It seems as though yesterday we were going together on our adventures, talking, having lunch and enjoying each other's company," wrote Evangelista in the legend.
"You owe me Adulting 101, Tita, but it's okay because I remember every lesson you've taught me until today," she says.
Evangelista even referred to Santiago in his message as being his "ultimate mentor and source of guidance".
Santiago died on September 29, 2016 at the age of 71 years following a long lung cancer.
