MANILA, Philippines – Judge CJ Isit finished what JP Calvo had started in the first quarter after a landslide victory over Team A-3, 76-64, to lead the mini-tournament that highlighted the combination PBA 2018 Thursday at Gatorade Hoops. Center.
Calvo, the former leader of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran, set the tone by scoring 11 of his team's 23 points, a top in the team.
Teytey Teodoro's big shots allowed the A-3 team to get closer, former University goalkeeper Jose Rizal toppled a three-pointer pointer that pushed the game to 4 points, 55-51, at 7:45.

Isit and Calvo both went to Mythical 5, where they were joined by Michael Calisaan, of the A-3 team, Javee Mocon, of the B-2 team, and Robert Bolick, of the B-3 team.
Calvo won the honors of the most valuable player, while Isit finished with 22 points.
Ralph Salcedo led the A-3 team with 18 points, while Calisaan had 15 markers.
Meanwhile, Salem won the three-point shootout against Dan Wong of Ateneo de Manila University.
The 47 aspiring recruits had been divided into two groups of three teams each. Each team played in one playoff round, with the first two teams qualifying for the semi-finals. Each match consisted of 8-minute shifts.
