Dnata acquires a European company specializing in AI technology

Dubai-based air services provider dnata announced that it has acquired a majority stake in bd4travel (Big Data for Travel), a technology company that provides artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to travel agencies online.

Based in Germany and the UK, bd4travel's sophisticated algorithms allow online travel agencies to interact with anonymous customers and personalize their shopping experience in real time, a statement said.

The acquisition is effective immediately and without interruption services offered by BD4travel. The company will continue under the brand bd4travel.

The parties agreed not to disclose the details of the acquisition, the statement said.

Operating more than 40 sites, bd4travel currently serves leading travel organizations in 17 markets and dnata said the announcement underscored its commitment to applying advanced technologies to improve efficiency and customer experience.
