MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte has promoted the brother of his son-in-law Manases Carpio to the Ministry of Agriculture, revealed a document released Thursday by the palace.
On November 27, Duterte signed the nomination document appointing Waldo Reyes Carpio as AD Under-Secretary. He previously held the position of Assistant Secretary of the Department.
The president was one of the main sponsors of the marriage of Carpio and his wife Regine in September 2016.
Manases is the husband of Duterte's daughter, the mayor of Davao City, Sara Duterte.
The other nomination documents also indicated that Duterte had appointed Carim Lawi Panumpang as Under-Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government and Allan Batarra Gepty as Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Trade. ;Industry.
The president has also appointed new members to the board of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation, namely Ruth Marie Isip Equipaje and Cesar De Guzman Aljama.
