The Japanese government plans to provide financial support for the development of technologies to eliminate space debris.

The government has set up a group of officials from relevant ministries to deal with space debris collision problems with satellites and the International Space Station.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and private companies are looking to develop solutions to deal with the rapid increase in the number of satellites and other types of debris in orbit around the Earth at high speed.

The government plans to establish a basic plan this year and hopes to begin testing during the 2022 fiscal year.
