Kevin Bridges promised to reimburse bettors and give money to a homeless charity after being forced to cut the show for reasons of illness and rowdy behavior.
The Scottish comedian was performing in Brighton Wednesday night but did not finish his performance.
Writing on Twitter later in the evening, he told fans that he was not feeling well and that the constant taunts of a small group in the crowd only made things worse.
The 32-year-old apologized and said he would reimburse everyone at the hearing and donate the remaining money to a charity.

Kevin wrote on Twitter: "My apologies to everyone who came to see me tonight at the Dome.
"I have been sick for a few days but I did not want to cancel the concerts because I thought the adrenaline of the performance could bring me to a successful conclusion, as it usually does tonight for the majority of the show.
"It's something I'm used to talking about after raising hands, but tonight I hit a wall, physically and maybe mentally. I am really sorry for everyone I dropped by finishing earlier.

His fans quickly rallied to him, saying he did not need to regret it and praised his performance.
One of them wrote: "Absolutely no refund or excuse required, thank you Kevin! Your performance was simply legendary, but it seems that a minority of the local student fraternity lacks respect for talent (and other human beings) and has raised itself a little on Babysham, blessed !! "

A second happy bettor added, "I did not let down Mrs. and me. We had our money for it well before the end. adored
