MANILA, PHILIPPINES (UPDATE) – Gilas Cadet Kobe Paras will now take on the colors of the U State as he decided to join the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons.

Paras will serve a residence one year after the transfer of Cal State Northridge. He will participate in season 82 of the UAAP men's basketball tournament with his team-mate Gilas Ricci Rivero, confirmed Bo Perasol, the UP coach

The Fighting Maroons is eagerly awaiting a caliber of alignment of championship that will be reinforced by Paras, Rivero and Bright. Akhuetie

Perasol however says that Paras will not join the formation of the Maroons in Serbia and Croatia for family reasons.

Paras follows in the footsteps of his father, Benjie Paras, who helped the Maroons Fighting at Single Championship in 1986.

Last March, Paras, 20, revealed that he wanted to become a professional after leaving Cal State. The American university had offered to host it for the NCAA 2018-2019 season if things did not work out.

Paras launched its own online clothing store that aimed to provide Filipinos with "affordable" and "high-end" products. – Rappler.com
