NEW YORK – The NBA tip has fined Kyrie Irving, the Celtics goaltender, $ 25,000 for throwing a basketball into the stands after a game.

The fine was pronounced Tuesday by the head of discipline of the league, Kiki VanDeWeghe.

The incident occurred at the end of the Celtics' 115-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

Irving was angry with Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray, who scored three points as the clock went out while Denver had already put the game aside. Murray, who had already scored 48 points, said he was trying to reach 50.
