Sandiganbayan finds "valuable information" in 3 corruption cases filed in 2016 against San José, Mayor of Western Mindoro, Romulo Festin

MANILA, Philippines – Romulo Festin, mayor of San Jose, Mindoro, hometown of the 22 fishermen whose fishing boat was sunk by a Chinese fishing boat in the western Philippine Sea, was suspended by the anti-immigration court. -Sandiganbayan corruption.

Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirmed this information. He said he had received the order from Sandiganbayan, but had not yet implemented the 90-day preventive suspension order.
