STEVE McClaren was frustrated by one point in Rotherham on Tuesday night, despite Luke Freeman's 93rd-minute equalizer for the R's at New York Stadium.
The midfielder's diving header allowed QPR to take some of the spoils, which was the least they deserved after forcing home keeper Marek Rodak to make two incredible saves before the leveler while the Hoops ended the meeting.
Will Vaulks gave Rotherham the advantage six minutes before Nahki Wells leveled the bar for 12 minutes.
The Robertsists restored their advantage three minutes later thanks to Clark Robertson. The home team was certainly the best team in the first period.
After the break, however, and as the game progressed, the Rangers were the climbing team. McClaren's men passed Pawel Wszolek before Freeman and Ebere Eze were denied by the local goalkeeper.
"He was a good character on our part, but I do not know how we did not win that in the end!", Said McClaren at www.qpr.co.uk.
"We conceded two bad goals and I was disappointed to see us concede a goal.
"But we talked about how important the bench is to change, and that's what they did.
"We changed the shape and caused them problems. We switched to a diamond and opened the game by hiring Tomer Hemed and Matt Smith.
"Their goalkeeper made two incredible saves and it would have been a joke if we had not taken something in the game, but I'm going to take the point because of the character shown by the guys."
The Rangers have only lost one of their last nine games, and McClaren added, "We want to be tough and hard to beat.
"I think we have balance, we just need to make sure we keep going."
