Four weeks later, we now know who the former title holder Bellator and ONE, Ben Askren, will face during his much anticipated debut in the Octagon.

"Funky" will fight with the old UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 233 on Jan. 26 in Anaheim, California.

The UFC announced this year the blockbuster on Twitter.

Following the first massive trade news, Ben Askren has cast a caption on a plethora of different UFC fighters on social media. After challenging Darren Till, Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, Stephen Thompson and many others, the UFC decided to confront Askren with the only man he did not call, Robbie Lawler.

Ben Askren will participate in the match "Ruthless" with a perfect professional record of 18-0.

"Funky" was last seen in action at ONE Championship 64, where he beat MMA legend Shinya Aoki through TKO in the first round.

Meanwhile, Robbie Lawler was last seen in action in December 2017 following a unanimous loss to Rafael dos Anjos.

"Ruthless" lost 6-2 in her last eight bouts at the start of the January fight with Ben Askren.

UFC 233 could potentially be titled by a welterweight title unification fight featuring Tyron Woodley and Colby Covington. If this does not materialize, the map already contains a flyweight title fight in which Henry Cejudo faces the reigning bantamweight title holder, T.J. Dillashaw.
