The Altas score a victory over the Generals to climb to 3rd place behind Lyceum and San Beda

MANILA, Philippines – The University of Perpetual Help held a team from Emilio Aguinaldo College, 76-74, in the NCAA Season 94 Men's Basketball Tournament at the Sports and Cultural Center of the ACR on Thursday, July 26th.
The match seemed to be almost over for the Altas after taking a 75-69 lead in the final minute after Kim Aurin shared his penalty shots.
However, the Generals made a U-turn in a Maui Cruz 3-ball, 74-75. At the end of the allotted time, Aurin again separated from charity band 76-74, leaving a window open for a final hat-trick of the EAC
Jerome Garcia, the scorer of the 39, EAC, failed to defend itself.
"The Generals played with a lot of confidence," said Perpetual coach and four-time NCAA champion Frankie Lim, after his Altas scored a road victory

Edgar Charcos delivered another impressive performance to finish with 22 points on an 8-on-15 (53%) shot, 3 assists and 2 steals. The exploit came after the former East University player lost 27 points against Letran in 1945.
Defensive player of the year Prince Eze missed a triple-double with 15 points, 22 rebounds and 9 big blocks.
Aurin also came close to a triple-double with 12 points, 9 boards and 8 assists.
The Generals also scared the Altas early in the third quarter. 12-46, 46-38, thanks to the long bombs of Garcia.
Garcia scored 13 of his 23 points during that period, finishing 57-56 before the 4th.
Cruz and Garcia led the Generals with a combined total of 35 points
