Jovielyn Prado rattled in 14 points as Tacloban pulled off a 15-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 15-13 squeaker over PetroGazz Saturday night in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Malolos Convention Center.
The Fighting Warays snapped a three-game losing streak and managed to remain in contention for the Final Four with a 5-7 record.
But though it was Prado who did the most damage, Heather Guino-o applied the finishing touches as she scored three points late in the fifth frame.
Down 7-10, Guino-o tried rallied the Fighting Warays late in the deciding set, hammering a baseline hit as they come to within 11-12 before an Angels’ attacking error tied the match.
Guino-o then gave Tacloban the lead with a kill-block off PetroGazz star Stephanie Mercado.
