Vice President Leni Robredo will leave the country on Wednesday to speak at the 2018 Asia-Pacific Summit in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The vice president's office said Robredo had been invited to deliver the keynote address at the December 1 event. She will join other government leaders and leaders, experts, business leaders and civil society leaders from various countries for the Summit Welcome Banquet.
The themes of the summit will address issues such as the challenges countries face, interdependence, mutual prosperity, universal values, climate change concerns and good governance.
It is organized by the Universal Peace Federation, the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, in partnership with the Government of Nepal, the Federal Parliament of Nepal and the International Conference of Asian Political Parties.
Robredo has to return to the country on Sunday. / muf
