Sullivan Barrera, the legendary heavyweight, has an opponent for his August 18 fight in "Irish" Seanie Monaghan, announced the Main Event on Tuesday.
The 10-round bout will take place at the Bethlehem Sands Casino and Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and will top the Golden Boy Fight Night poster on Facebook Watch.
Last week, Golden Boy Promotions announced an agreement under which the social media giant will broadcast five live combat cards, including the August 18 show featured by Barrera. Main Events collaborates with Golden Boy on the series and it's his first show
Barrera (21-2, 14 KOs), 36, a Cuban defector who is fighting in Miami, will be looking to bounce back after a knockout of 12th round. Defeat against 175-pound world champion Dmitry Bivol on March 3 in New York
"As always, I'm ready to face the best in my division, another fighter," said Barrera. "I'm looking forward to August 18, and I'm going to give fans a great show, they'll see me start going up to face the best light heavyweights in the world."
