MANILA – Networks of the fifth generation, or 5G, will be deployed in the country by the second half of next year, PLDT Smart officials said Wednesday.
After the successful test of the company's 5G video calls on the same day, PLDT Smart officials told ANC's "Short Perfect Tech Shorts" that they planned to roll out the new platform in schools, schools, schools and colleges. technoparks and business centers.

PLDT is also modernizing its cellular towers for 5G equipment adaptation and adding new tricks to accelerate the deployment of 5G.
Mitch Locsin, senior vice president and head of PLDT SME Nation, said the company was allocating about 58 billion pesos Pakistan this year and next year to investment spending.
"The goal is really to make this important investment for the benefit of consumers," Locsin said.
PLDT said its 5G test on Wednesday had reached speeds of up to 700 Mbps.
Some of the possible applications of 5G are autonomous vehicles, the Internet of Things and high definition video calling.
