Sergio Ramos and Marcelo have joined Real Madrid as teenagers and continue to be an integral part of their team. We understand why the best young players in the world are in demand. Fox Sports Asia has therefore selected the best player under 21 in the world.
Goalkeeper – Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan and Italy)
Gianluigi Donnarumma is in his fourth season as Milan's top goalkeeper and he is still only 19! The Italian debuted at the age of 16 and has kept the guards more experienced outside the starting lineup since.
Donnarumma has already played 133 games with Milan in all competitions, and has also represented Italy in 10 matches.
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches, the Italian was praised for his agility, physical strength and composure – all the attributes needed by a high level goalkeeper.
REAR RIGHT – Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool and England)
Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold has had a quick climb to the top in the last two years.
He made his Liverpool debut at the age of 17 and spent the 2016/17 season in double with Nathaniel Clyne. The following season, Alexander-Arnold shared the back-row with Joe Gomez after a long-term injury to Nathaniel Clyne.
The 20-year-old Englishman played a key role in Liverpool's Champions League final last season and has held off important figures such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Leroy Sane.
Happy 20th Anniversary, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

LEFT-BACK – Kieran Tierney (Celtic and Scottish)
Kieran Tierney, a product of the Celtic Academy, has been associated with a transfer to several Premier League clubs. Scott, 21, made his Celtic debut in 2014 and has played 150 games for the club so far.
Tierney has all the traits of a modern back. He is fast, he likes to go ahead and he gives birth badly. Last season he has amassed four goals and ten assists in all competitions, from a left back position.
CENTER-BACK – Joe Gomez (Liverpool and England)
Joe Gomez is a versatile defender capable of playing anywhere backstage. Gomez signed for Liverpool in 2015 and made his debut for the Reds as a left back before a serious injury has been ruled out for more than a year.
Last season, Gomez turned out to be a very useful player since he replaced the right back. This season, he has joined Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the defense and has even outclassed the Dutch a few times.
The versatility of the 21-year-old, his calm on the ball, his reading of the sport and his athleticism make him a valuable player for the club and the country.
If Joe Gomez continues to play the current standards, there will be no better central defense @ first league pairing that he and Virgil van Dijk.

CENTER-BACK – Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax and the Netherlands)
Matthijs de Ligt was imposed during the 2016/17 season when he helped Ajax reach the Europa League final. De Ligt's defensive qualities are fantastic, but what makes him a coveted player is his incredible coolness and his ability to play ball for a teenage defender.
At just 19, he has already played 74 games with Ajax, scored 8 goals and was awarded the Talent of the Year in Ajax in 2018.
De Ligt is a key member of the Dutch team who wishes to return to the top of international football. He has already played 11 times for the senior team of the Netherlands.

DEFENSE ENVIRONMENT – Ruben Neves (Wanderers from Wolverhampton and Portugal)
Ruben Neves was once the youngest player to have started a Champions League match as a captain when he played for Porto.
Last season, the Portuguese midfielder was shocked by the Wolverhampton Wanderers when he was in the EFL Championship, but he helped them to qualify for the Premier League and played a crucial role.
The 21-year-old has received praise for his passability, range, leadership and positioning. He has already impressed the Wolves in the Premier League and has been associated with a transfer to bigger clubs, including Manchester City, as Fernandinho's long-term substitute.

CENTRAL MIDDLE – Tanguy Ndombele (Olympique Lyon and France)
Lyon Olympique have signed a permanent contract with Tanguy Ndombele this summer, but it has already been associated with a transfer in the Premier League with Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs among its potential destinations.
The 21-year-old French international is an athletic figure with immense technique. Ndombele's ability to produce assists from the back of the field is exceptional.
He is confident with the ball at his feet and likes to dribble forward with the ball to create space for the attackers before producing a defensive pass.

CENTRAL MIDDLE – Houssem Aouar (Olympique Lyon and France)
The number of talented midfielders available for France's selection is just ridiculous, but even with the tough competition for places, Houssem Aouar could soon make his senior debut for the world champions.
Houssem Aouar is a product of the famous Lyon Academy and he took advantage of his breakthrough season in 2017/18. The 20-year-old midfielder played 61 games with Lyon and scored 10 times.
Aouar is able to play any midfielder, but he excels notably as a midfielder because of his pace of work.

RIGHT WING – Kylian Mbappe (PSG and France)
A list of the best young players in the world can not be complete without Kylian Mbappe.
It is hard to believe that Mbappe is still only 19 years old given his achievements. The winner of the FIFA World Cup is undoubtedly the best young player in the world and one of the top 10 players in the world.
After scoring four World Cup goals, Mbappe has already scored 11 goals in eight games this season! In total, he scored 59 goals in 112 club matches and 10 goals for France in just 26 games.
The cap of Mbappe is huge and it has the potential to mimic the individual success of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

STRIKER – Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City and Brazil)
Already with 11 goals in 24 games for Brazil, Gabriel Jesus is Brazil's long-term solution to his opponents after spending years with average players. Jesus is also expected to replace Sergio Aguero as Manchester City's leading forward. Despite playing the second role in Aguero, he has already scored 26 goals in 64 games for City.
Under the direction of Pep Guardiola, Jesus can mimic the success of many former Brazilian strikers and, with his age, he can even surpass the greats that he has watched grow.

Left Wing – Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona and France)
Despite a difficult first season with Barcelona, it is difficult to watch Ousmane Dembele in the best XI.
Dembele was elected Young Player of the Year League 1 in 2015/16 after a decisive pass to Rennes. The following season, he was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year in a season where he scored 10 goals and assisted 20 more in 50 games for Borussia. Dortmund
Before the 2017/18 season, Dembele had made a transfer of 105 million euros to Barcelona, but injuries and training used by Valverde have prevented him from unleashing his vast potential.
Dembele, winner of the World Cup, is ambidextrous, which, combined with his pace, his cunning, his dribbling skills and his vision, makes him a difficult player to face. He has already scored five times in 11 games for Barcelona this season, including a sensational win over Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup.
"We are expecting a lot from him."
The French boss Didier Deschamps thinks that the final product of Ousmane Dembele has improved and hopes that the man from Barcelona will be able to keep it.#FRA #FCB pic.twitter.com/vwQGa9VGTN
