At the start of Raw's third hour, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley unveiled the all-new 24/7 Championship, a title that can be played anytime, anywhere, 24 hours on 24, 7 days a week, provided WWE referee is present. The title will be eligible for Superstars on Raw, SmackDown LIVE, Live 205, NXT, NXT UK and even WWE Legends and Hall of Famers.
The new championship is reminiscent of the "24/7 rule" of the retired Hardcore Championship, of which Foley was the first holder in 1998. Superstars can play the title at any time and at any time, which means that a champion 24/7 will always have a massive target on their backs.
Foley then left the title on the mat and said that whoever caught it first would become champion 24/7. A number of Raw Superstars and Drake Maverick, general manager of 205 Live, went to the ring to try to win the championship. He was eventually reduced to O'Neil and Drake Maverick. O'Neil threw Maverick over the last rope on the floor, eliminating the others to become the first champion 24/7.
As O'Neil celebrated on the ramp, Robert Roode snuck out from behind and wrapped him up to become the second champion 24/7. This reign was also brief, while R-Truth pinned "The Glorious One" in the parking lot shortly thereafter.
After leading several Raw Superstars hunting through the arena, Roode seemed to find a good hiding place when R-Truth hid it in the trunk of his car and led the crowd elsewhere. The assistance turned out to be a trick, however, as Truth had a referee stowed in the passenger seat, ready to count down when he hit Roode head first on the side of the vehicle and covered him on the car park.
