Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather said that a fight with UFC's current lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, was going to take place, sparking a wave of speculation as to who would win. Mayweather had already beaten the former two belt holder, Conor McGregor, last year and a fight with the Russian grappling hook could give the same result. Nevertheless, Mayweather is getting older and he may not be able to dodge the shots that Nurmagomedov can drop. What do you think?
PERSPECTIVES
Different fighter, same story. These guys from MMA think that they can just get into the boxing world and run the ring, but that's just not going to happen – especially against one of the biggest players ever to have been in the ring. Mayweather gave the example of Conor McGregor and he would have no trouble beating Nurmagomedov.
The current UFC lightweight champion has the power, but his strength lies in his fight. He could get a good shot, but Mayweather can avoid all that he can bring. The undefeated boxer has chosen a UFC fighter. He would do it to another.
Mayweather may have beaten McGregor, but Nurmagomedov is a different animal. It's the same guy who trains in fighting by fighting the bears. BEAR. If he's ready to go that far to coach, he should have his own "Rocky IV" editing.
Nurmagomedov does not need to go out of a seasoned fighter. He has enough power to knock out anyone at once. He proved that he could hit McGregor and that he would write a "1" in Mayweather's loss column.
