Amid growing tension between the two Koreas over NK’s hypersonic missile test earlier this week, the Defense Ministry held the 73rd Armed Forces Day ceremony on Friday in Pohang, Gyeongsang Province. North. Pohang was where United Nations forces conducted their first landing operation during the Korean War.
The photo above shows President Moon Jae-in aboard the Marado, a high-tech landing platform helicopter. In his speech, President Moon stressed the importance of the US-Korean alliance and expressed his gratitude to the Korean and UN forces that participated in the Korean War.
Under the theme of “Korean Army for the People,” the Navy and Air Force conducted joint ground operations in front of President Moon and the Minister of Defense.
