‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s nephew and husband were involved in a collision on Wednesday as they battled a fire at the Drummond Ranch, officials confirmed.

Her nephew, Caleb Drummond, 21, is in hospital in critical condition and her husband, Ladd Drummond, was uninjured, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

OHP said that due to the high winds over the grass and gravel, the two vehicles collided head-on and Caleb was thrown from the truck.

The report states that Caleb did not have his seat belt. He also said there was no seat belt fitted in Ladd’s fire truck.

Osage County Emergency Management Director Jerry Roberts said each vehicle contained only one firefighter and they collided on the driver’s side of each truck. He said the two firefighters were employees of the ranch.

Osage Nation fire crews said more than 200 acres had been burned.

This is a developing story.
