The pair have now sold 18.22 million copies in just nine months and are just behind Gold and silver in the lifetime sales chart. From Nintendo’s nine-month earnings report, it was revealed that Sword and shield Has sold over 16 million copies since its release in November, becoming the culmination of an already strong year for the company. The latest NPD data, the latest installment in the long series has the highest dollar sales of the launch month in Pokemon franchise history. And for the month of November, Sword was the third best-selling game, with the double pack comprising both titles taking fourth place, and Shield be in fifth place. However, if you combined these sales, the total would take them to second place.
