23 august

11:55 am: A male subject in the lobby to request civilian layoff. The 53-year-old man from Farwell had a tenure outside Presque Isle County. The subject was hosted and then retrieved by the County of Presque Isle.

9:32 p.m .: Dispatch received a call for an erratic driver in Hillman Township; An assistant responded and located the vehicle and initiated a stop. Officer cleared without incident; driver received a verbal warning about his driving.

11:43 p.m .: Officers responded to a verbal argument in Briley Township; the parties were initially separated for the evening. The deputies again responded to the same house where the victim was arrested for domestic violence and accommodated in Alpena prison. Officers acquitted without incident.

24 august

7:00 am: A member of Parliament responded to an alarm at Clear Lake State Park. An employee accidentally set off the alarm and everything was secure.

5:00 p.m .: Hillman Fire / EMS and his assistants responded to a vehicle overturn on Pleasant Valley Rd, near Hayes Rd. The vehicle was found on its side, no one was injured. All units erased at 6:27 p.m.:.

7:26 p.m .: MPs responded to an alarm at a local business in State St in Atlanta. The business turned out to be safe.

25 august

10:50 p.m .: MPs responded to an alarm on logging equipment in Albert Township; all equipment was found to be secure.

26 august

10:16 p.m.: A welfare check was requested on a resident of the township of Avery: an assistant responded and located the subject which turned out to be fine. Officers acquitted without incident.

August 27

8:19 am: A dispute was reported to the sheriff’s office; a deputy responded and spoke with the subjects. It was a verbal argument and the deputy was cleared without incident.

9:46 am: A leaning tree fell on a power line near a residence in Avery Township; The Tri Township Fire Department as well as PIE & G all responded to the scene.

12:33 p.m.: A traffic check in Loud Township resulted in the driver being fined for lack of insurance and, driving without a license, the vehicle was towed from the scene.

12:47 p.m .: Dispatch received a call regarding a tree on Co Rd 612 near Fleming Rd., Dispatch contacted the Roads Commission to remove the tree.

2:30 p.m .: A male subject with a court order for custody of the children asked an officer to help him get his child because the mother would not give him the child according to the order. An assistant came to the residence and helped.

10:09 p.m.: A verbal argument was reported in Hillman Township; the deputies responded to the scene. Members of Parliament spoke to the subjects, they went their separate ways for the night, and Members cleared customs without incident.

August 28

12:36 am: MPs responded to a single vehicle accident in Briley Township; the subject involved turned out to be fine and refused EMS services. The male subject was arrested for OWI and held in Alpena County Jail. Officers acquitted without incident.

12:30 p.m .: A resident of Albert Township called to ask for a social assistance check from her neighbor; a deputy answered at the residence. The subject was camping with her son, she was fine.

3:51 PM: A verbal argument in the village of Hillman was reported via 911. An assistant attended the scene to speak with the two subjects.

11:53 p.m.: A deputy, EMS and fire units from the three townships all responded to a single vehicle accident in Briley Township. The driver was not injured and was cited for texting while driving. All units were evacuated without incident.

August 29

03:39: An assistant responded to a vehicle that had swerved to miss hitting a deer, the driver was not injured but the vehicle was stuck in a foot of water. MD Towing also responded to the scene and helped tow the vehicle out of the ditch. The assistant and the tow truck disembarked without incident. The driver returned home.

1:47 p.m .: An assistant on a routine patrol, stopped to help a motorist in Rust Township, the assistant cleared without incident.

2:58 pm: A request for a welfare check was sent to the sheriff’s department on a resident of the township of Loud; subject was fine, states his phone is not working; contact RP for advice.

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m .: Several appeals were made regarding the storm, downed trees, fallen and burning power lines, Lewiston, Tri-Township, Hillman and Vienna fire departments all worked during the storm to clear the trees from the roads of the county of Montmorency.

3:21 PM: A vehicle heading west on Co Rd 612 during the storm was struck by a tree, the tree landed on the vehicle, an assistant responded, and the Albert Township Fire Department responded on site. No injuries were reported.

6:00 p.m. – 8:10 p.m .: Several calls arrived at the center concerning the aftermath of the storm; many felled trees, power lines, transformers on the ground and blackouts. The Tri-Township and Hillman Fire Departments responded to the calls as did PIE & G. All firing units were evacuated without incident.

9:35 p.m.: A deputy as well as Tri-Township EMS and firefighters responded to a single vehicle accident. The driver had struck a tree in Loud Township; the driver was not injured. All units were evacuated without incident.
