Poll: How much would you be willing to pay for a new smartphone?

Smartphones get better and smarter every year, but these improvements come at a price. Literally. Ten years ago, paying $ 1,000 for a new smartphone seemed absolutely ridiculous. But today, that’s more or less the norm for a high-end iPhone or Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Of course, things are starting to calm down and stabilize a bit, but if you want the best of the best, you’ve got to shell out a pretty dime.

With that in mind, we want to know how much you would be willing to pay for a new smartphone.

As smartphone prices seemed to get out of hand, there have been signs that things are improving. For example, Samsung lowered the starting price for this year’s Galaxy S21 series, as well as the ever-expensive foldable. Sure, you’re still paying $ 1,800 for a Galaxy Z Fold 3, but it’s cheaper than its predecessor at launch.

Apple also caused a stir by launching its new iPhone 13 at the same starting price as last year’s model. Still, the premium versions of these phones don’t come cheap, and there is a lot you can buy for the same price as the latest flagships from Apple and Samsung.

It’s also worth noting that you don’t need to pay an arm and a leg for a new smartphone with great experience. Most of the more budget Android phones offer newer chipsets with 5G connectivity and even high refresh rate displays.

Plus, there are plenty of options for financing your new smartphones, a popular option in the US for buyers who don’t want to shell out the full cost up front.

Hopefully the next Pixel 6 will launch at a reasonable price, especially given the hype surrounding the device. Fortunately, we don’t have long before we have all the details.
