The Monthly Achievement Series celebrates the accomplishments of our faculty and staff inside and outside of Poole College of Management.

  • Joseph brazel, professor of accounting, received the award for best paper at the 11th annual symposium of the European Audit Research Network from September 10 to 11.
  • Beth shepherd, Director of Instructional Design, and Heidi Echols, Instructional Designer, were selected to do an online co-presentation for the E-Learning Consortium (OLC) Acceleration conference on September 20, 2021. They discussed “10 Ways to Improve Student Navigation in Your LMS course ”.
  • September 9 Rob handfield, Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management, was the keynote speaker at the SLAS Americas Sample Management Symposium.
  • Maggie Joyeuse, Deputy Dean of Finance and Administration, has been appointed President-elect of the Enterprise Applications Committee in the NC state. This committee provides guidance for the main applications and tools that affect the university’s key business processes.
  • September 30, Scott Showalter, director of Jenkins’ Masters of Accounting program, gave a presentation at the American Accounting Association’s Accounting Research and Education webinar series on “Stories from the Trenches;” Proceed to a STEM degree program ”.
  • Bonnie hancock, executive director of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiative, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors-Research Triangle Chapter effective January 1, 2022.
  • At the NCACPA 2021 Business & Industry Fall conference in Asheville, NC, Chris McKittrick, Senior Lecturer in Accounting, gave a presentation entitled “Tales of Fraud – How Did That Happen? “.
  • After many hours of training and a certification exam, Ayo Agunbiade, Senior Educational Advisor, recently received his official certification as a strength trainer.
