Porsche produces only two identical 911s a year: report

Have your two "best friends" just gotten a match, an all-new Porsche 911 Targa 4s in midnight blue, and mysteriously left you out of the bonding ritual? Maybe you'll go out and get exactly the same car! It'll show them. Except that you will not do it, because when Porsche will see the order of your vehicle, it will already be the case. Been there, do that.

Christian Friedl, head of the Zuffenhausen Porsche plant, told Autocar that, despite a 10% increase in sales, the company only produces two identical versions of a 911 or 718 a year. So even if you are the one who introduced those two assholes, you'll be the one who got out of the Porsche group, as they started to call each other.

Here are Friedl's words exactly, by Autocar:

[P]Christian Friedl, director of the lant, explains that it produces only identical cars "at most twice a year". The company is ready to introduce even more options, Friedl claiming that it will offer "the most personal car" possible.

The funny thing is that what Friedl said seems to mean that Porsche would refuse to make more than two identical cars a year, but it's hard to imagine what's going on here.

Do not produce identical cars seems less a standard brand and more a case of luck because, with 39 different versions of these vehicles and endless possibilities of customization, it is quite easy to be creative and quite difficult to obtain Perfect matches at random.

So, instead of the same car (so boring), get yourself a much more interesting Porsche and leave your friends in the dust. For example, a "Miami Blue" Speedster with a complicated roof would be a great way to give a hand to these jerks, for example.
