Port: Chris Berg is on Valley News Live on vaccine mandate controversy

[ad_1]

MINOT, ND – Earlier this week we learned that there was friction between the conservative TV host Chris Berg and his employers at the Fargo-based TV station Live Valley News.

Gray television is the owner of Valley News Live. They issued a vaccination warrant for their employees. Berg, it seems, didn’t like the tenure.

This morning I learned from reputable sources that the decision has been made and Berg is out.

I called Ike walker, who is the managing director of Valley News Live, and asked if Berg’s relationship with the station had ended.

“We don’t comment on that stuff,” Walker told me angrily. He hung up before I could ask a follow-up question.

It’s a weird answer to a question of whether one of your most visible on-air personalities is still working for you. If Berg was still working at Valley News Live, you’d think my question would be easy to answer.

“Rob in it [meetings] and yes I can confirm that I am no longer at VNL, ”Berg told me in a text message after the initial posting of this story. “I start the Chris Berg Show on AM1100 The Flag starting Monday at 4-5pm.

When I reached out to him on Wednesday to comment on my previous column on this situation, Berg responded, hours after my first call, saying “I’m traveling today” and saying he would call me back in the evening. I have not communicated with him since.

Berg made this post on Twitter this morning, for what it’s worth:

It was also promote a new hour-long radio talk show based on Fargo.

Vaccination mandates have been busy territory for those working in the conservative media. At least a half-dozen conservative talk radio hosts who had opposed the Covid-19 vaccine have since died.

Berg, to my knowledge, has not had COVID-19[female[feminine, but he’s apparently ready to drop his TV show because of opposition to the vaccine.

It is a decision that I find it difficult to understand.
