On July 3, the Municipality of Anadia "sang" the congratulations to the city library for the 10th anniversary, in an event that was marked by tributes and the awarding of several awards.

a session that began with the awarding ceremony of the ninth edition of the "Ler & Aprender" school competition and the tenth edition of the "Letras da Primavera" poetry competition.

Herculano Rodrigues Lapa, the first user to register in the new municipal library of Anadia, and died last October, was honored during the session. The program continued with the distinction of users of the year, in different categories. Following her intention to donate her books to the Municipality of Anadia, her widow, Lucinda Lapa, formalized the donation and received, from the President of the Anadia City Council, Maria Teresa Cardoso, the map of honorary user of the Municipal Library

João Venâncio Marques was also honored for the invaluable work of collecting, preserving and disseminating information in the local history of Anadia .

The session also included a time dedicated to children born in 2008, and only a few months, began in January 2009 the project " Tales and Layers ". These readers, now ten years old, had the opportunity to learn about their participation in the project sessions.

The ceremony also had several cultural moments, made by students from county schools.
