61 migrants rescued by the maritime police on mission in Greece

61 migrants, including 28 children, were rescued at dawn on Saturday by the Maritime Police Team on a mission to Greece.

According to the National Maritime Authority (AMN), in a statement to which the Lusa agency had access, a boat with 61 migrants off the coast of Eftalou, still in Turkish territory, been detected then saved on the Greek territory.

Immigrants from Afghanistan, Congo and Burkina Faso are, according to AMN, 17 men, 16 women and 28 children and landed safely in the Greek port of Skala Skaminia
