A 70-year-old man killed his son-in-law with a rifle this Friday night in Furadouro, Torres Vedras. The homicide was held by the GNR on the spot.
According to a source from the territorial command of the GNR in Lisbon, the killing occurred at 9.45 pm, in the locality of Furadouro, in the parish of Dois Porto, municipality of Torres Vedras (district of Lisbon).
Authorities were informed by neighbors of the victim's family.
At JN, the District Command of Lisbon Relief Operations stated that the body of the victim remained at the scene of the murder sometime after the arrest of the septuagenarian.
The Emergency Medical Vehicle and Resuscitation (VMER) of the Oeste Hospital – Unit of Torres Vedras was sent to the place, as well as the Torres Vedras Fire Brigade. However, considering that the septuagenarian remained closed at home, armed with the shotgun with which he had killed his son-in-law, it is only after the GNR has made the arrest that the VMER's doctor can see the clinical conditions of the victim
