A man was stabbed Saturday night in the chest by his girlfriend at Ramalho Ortigão street in Albufeira. The 24-year-old woman used a kitchen knife to attack him.
The victim is a 33-year-old Brazilian citizen who was assisted on site by firefighters and INEM.
He was then transported to the Faro Hospital where he is stable but continues to be observed.
The woman disappeared from the place after the assault but she went to the GNR, who then handed her over to the judicial police. She is charged with a criminal offense with grievous bodily harm.
