The House's Ethics Council suspended work that could lead to the resignation of MP Celso Jacob (MDB-RJ) on Thursday morning (12).

Federal Member of Parliament Celso Jacob (MDB-RJ) ( /) Sandro Alex (PSD-PR), Wednesday 11, proposed to the Ethics Committee to stop examining the case and send the claim against Jacob to the Commission of the Constitution and Justice (CCJ).
According to Sandro Alex, it is not up to the board to analyze the processes that may result in the loss of the warrant based on the convictions of parliamentarians by the courts.
The opinion, however, was rejected by the council, which elected Valtenir Pereira as new rapporteur.

The Board of Ethics has filed a lawsuit against Jacob at a vote in the dawn of this Thursday, at 1:10 am, after the session at which National Convention voted the Budget Guidelines Act of 2019.
With the approval of the LDO, the House and Senate can already enter into recess and, thus, the lawsuit against Celso Jacob will only be reviewed in the second half of this year.
