The first Airbus A380 of the Portuguese airline HiFly will land in Portugal at 5 pm on Monday. The chosen airport is Beja, mainly used as a parking and maintenance station of aircraft
This will be the first time that the air giant will land in a national airport and the beginnings will be made by a Portuguese company. HiFly is little known to the Portuguese public, but it plays an important role in the wet leasing market, namely the provision of crewed aircraft, maintenance and insurance.
The A380 has already departed from England, where he participated in the Farnborough Air Show. In shades of blue, the livery of this plane is dedicated to the environment and in particular to the coral reefs, in partnership with the Mirpuri Foundation.
The two-story aircraft will be equipped with Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines and will have capacity for 471 passengers divided into three classes. The lower floor will be fully dedicated to the economy class, with a total of 399 passengers, while the upper floor will have first class and executive class seats, supporting 60 and 12 passengers.
