At least 10 people were killed today and 40 were wounded on the Indonesian island of Lombok following the magnitude 6.4 earthquake, the authorities said.
The East Lombok district was most affected with eight deaths, including a Malaysian national, said a spokesman for the Indonesian Mitigation Agency Sutopo Purwo Mugroho.
The death toll could rise further as data from other locations are still being collected, he added.
