Campaign in Portimão and Albufeira wants to change how to "think and talk" of Alzheimer's disease

The Alzheimer Association Portugal will launch a campaign on July 30, on the beaches of Rocha Baixinha, in Albufeira, and Rocha, in Portimão, to spread this madness, passing a "positive and inclusive message".

According to José Carreira, president of Alzheimer's in Portugal, "it is important to fight against the lack of knowledge and stigmatization associated with dementia"

This campaign will be launched on the International Day of friendship in 20 different places of the country.

With this initiative, he adds, "we want to help citizens understand how dementia affects people and help change behaviors that make society more user-friendly.

Alzheimer Portugal is the only organization in Portugal, of national scope, specifically set up to promote the quality of life of people with dementia and their relatives and caregivers. His vision is a society that integrates people with dementia and recognizes their rights.
