From this Wednesday until Sunday, several public spaces in downtown Aveiro will serve as stage for more than 200 shows – which will mobilize approximately 350 national and international artists – as part of of what is already the third edition of the Chaîne Festival. An event that has developed – and at different levels (from the number of events to the budget) -, presenting itself now "more varied and even more eclectic," emphasizes the head of the municipality, Ribau Esteves. "It is an event that intends to be, more and more, a reference in the national panorama of major festivals," says Jose Pina, director of Teatro Aveirense and cultural programmer of the municipality of Aveiro. With a budget of 485 thousand euros, this year 's edition begins with high expectations for audience growth.
