Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was arrested earlier this month, fell ill and was rushed to hospital on Sunday, according to a government source in Islamabad.
Nawaz Sharif and her daughter was arrested on July 13 after being sentenced to ten and seven years in prison, respectively, by an anti-corruption court due to real estate purchased in the United Kingdom from abroad.
The Punjab, Shaukat Javed, told Pakistani state television that doctors were recommending the transfer of Sharif to the hospital because the electrocardiogram had shown "variations".
