The Alzheimer's Association Portugal will launch July 30, International Friendship Day, a pioneering campaign in Portugal that aims to invite the Portuguese to learn more about dementia and to engage in the daily improvement of people with this disease.

The same day, starting at 10 am, the association will launch a launch on the beach of São Martinho do Porto, where several volunteers will present the initiative and will invite people to become friends with dementia.
The campaign spreads a positive and inclusive message about dementia. According to José Carreira, president of Alzheimer Portugal, "it is important to address the lack of knowledge and stigma associated with dementia, as well as to raise public awareness of this issue."
