Largo Festival in Lisbon closes this Saturday – Observer

The 10th edition of the Ao Largo Festival, which takes place on the broad border of the National Theater of S. Carlos, in Lisbon, ends this fourth day with performances of Companhia Nacional de Bailado (CNB). From 22:00, the choreographies "Serenade" by George Balanchine, "Herman Schmerman" by William Forsythe and "Raymonda" (3rd act) by Marius Petipa will be presented.

With a program of 15 shows From opera to ballet to jazz, the Largo Festival brought together, among others, the Lisbon Youth Choir, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and the Lisbon Solistas ensemble

. The stick of Johannes Stert, starring Richard Wagner's comic opera "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg", "The Knight of the Rose" by Richard Strauss (Der Rosenkavalier), and Johann's Concerto for Two Violins Sebastian Bach, with OSP violinist Klára Erdei and former solo violin Xuan Du.

The program also included the Lisbon Youth Choir's "Do Rio on Broadway," and a concert by the Metropolitan, under the direction of Pedro Amaral, in which Mozart's Oboe and Orchestra Concerto, soloist Sally Dean, was performed. Dvorák's Symphony No. 9, "Do Novo Mundo."
