Model Mara Martin was the sensation of the Sports Illustrated parade as she walked on the podium in swimsuit to nurse her five-month-old daughter, Aria.

"I can not believe that I wake up and that there are headlines with me and my daughter because we do something we do everyday. [Amamentar] is really so humble and surreal … I am so grateful to be able to share this message which, I hope, can make breastfeeding a normal thing and show everyone that women can do it all! "writes Mara Martin in a publication on Instagram.

Mara Martin had the dream of parading in swimsuit for Sports Illustrated. So, even the fact that she was a mother five months ago was not one of the 16 chosen to lead the event. Continuing the desire, Mara and Aria – that's the name of their baby – attended the W Hotel in South Beach, Miami, and waited for the arrival of the big moment. It was the time of waiting that gave rise to the idea.

According to the editor of the Sports Illustrated bikinis edition, MJ Day, the timing was not expected. "I was talking to the girls behind the scenes before the start of the parade, I saw that Mara's baby was sleeping and was nursing in peace, I asked Mara if she wanted to parade and continue breastfeeding," says it, the magazine's own website. "It was the easiest decision I had to make."
