White blood cells are very effective in fighting bacterial and viral infections, but when it comes to fighting cancer, they fail to respond as quickly. Cancerous tumors grow from the cells themselves and can also "hide" from the attack of the immune system. The new treatment, developed by researchers at Harvard University, is considered very promising in the fight against cancer: in addition to destroying cancer cells, it prevents the tumor from being considered benign by the body, which does not recognize it threatens, if it "lets it contaminate".
