US authorities announced Friday that nine of the 17 victims of a wrecked tourist boat during a storm in southwestern Missouri belonged to the same family.
Kelli Jones, a spokeswoman for Missouri Governor Mike Parson, said two other people from the same family survived when the boat, an amphibious vehicle, returned and sunk in Table Rock Lake at Branson, where he had gone.
Doug Rader, Stone County Sheriff, said that it was probably the storm that had made the storm swell.
