PP elected Married to party leader – World The extraordinary Congress of the Spanish People's Party (PP) has elected this Saturday Pablo Casado for leadership, in what is already seen as a rotating announcement.

Casado won a more expressive victory than expected, beating Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, "heiress" of Rajoy, by 1701 votes (57.2%) against 1250 votes (42%).
