The former South Korean president was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for embezzling funds from intelligence services and two years for illegal intervention in the elections.
Park Geun-hye, 66 has served a 24-year prison sentence after being sentenced in April to the corruption scandal that led to his resignation.

The first woman elected president in South Korea was removed from office and arrested in March 2017, and found guilty of corruption, abuse of power and coercion by the court which also fined 18 billion won (13 million euros).
