Begins this Wednesday at Aterro Beach in Matosinhos and ends only on Fridays.

The festival has the support of the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the Câmara de Matosinhos, but the idea came from Telmo Fernandes, a musical score. "Since 2011, I've had contacts with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and it's me who challenged me to celebrate Mandela's life through music," he said. says CM .

The project has a budget of two million euros and works since 2016.

Steven Tyler, Bob Geldof, Kaiser Chiefs, Pablo Alboran, Martin Garrix, Gabriel The Thinker, KURA, Calema, Rui Veloso and Jimmy P, among others, are some of the confirmed artists.

The profit obtained becomes solidarity: 75% for the Foundation and 25% for the Portuguese Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

The desire of Telmo Fernandes is that the festival is repeated in 2019 and "there are already negotiations to extend it to Brazil".
