"There are two women traveling in the same vehicle to Coimbra – Viseu," said Captain Pedro Reis of the Viseu Detachment.

According to the head of the Viseu Traffic Detachment, "everything indicates that it was a frontal collision, by the positioning of the vehicles and by some clues" that remained on the road .

"One of the vehicles got off the track that was following, he went on the other lane and crashed into another vehicle, but we do not know what the causes are , we are collecting all the traces to continue the investigation ".

The accident occurred around 11:50, near the Treixedo knot, towards Viseu – Santa Comba Dão.

There were 35 operating personnel, supported by 15 vehicles.
