A woman climbed the Statue of Liberty in New York Wednesday against the separation of migrant families from the US border. Seven other people belonging to the same protest were arrested at the base of the statue, advancing to CNN .
The island where the statue was found was evacuated while the authorities proceeded to withdraw from the woman. She spent about two hours at the base of the monument and said she would not leave the scene until the children separated from their parents by Trump's policies were reunited with their families.
Today is celebrated the Independence Day in the United States.
