COLLIER TOWNSHIP, Pa .– A postal worker was shot and killed Thursday morning in Collier Township, a police source told Channel 11 News.

The shooting occurred in the area of ​​Columbia and Suburban avenues, emergency dispatchers said.

A sheet was draped over a United States Postal Service truck, which had bullet holes in the windshield.

The shooter was arrested in Carnegie after surrendering. They were taken to the Collier County Police Department, the Carnegie Police Chief said.

A crime scene tape was seen around the Carnegie Police Department, where several other departments – including Collier Township, Scott Township, Green Tree and Bridgeville – also responded.

Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said the shooting investigation would be handled by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
