If it bleeds, we can (probably) kill it.

Predator: Hunting Grounds, an asymmetrical multiplayer action game, has been revealed.

The announcement was made as part of Sony's game state for May 2019, alongside a cinematic trailer of the game.

The caravan presents a group of well-armed soldiers exploring what appears to be a South American jungle before moving to reveal a predator hiding in the trees above them.

According to this announcement, "a shooting team will stand against the stealth killing machine". An article on the official Playstation blog went into more detail about the game elements, explaining:

A group of players will control the members of an elite Fireteam team that features state-of-the-art conventional firepower, from shotguns and SMGs to sniper rifles, etc. Meanwhile, a player will control the Predator: a stealthy and acrobatic killing machine bristling with exotic extraterrestrial technologies such as the infamous Plasmacaster. While Fireteam attempts to carry out paramilitary missions – annihilating the villains and recovering important items – the Predator will move closer, using its advanced mode of vision to hunt down and ambush its prey.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is being developed by Illphonic in collaboration with 20th Century Fox and is currently scheduled for release in 2020 on PS4.

JR is the editor at IGN and really hopes to have a predator: the music sequence somewhere. You can follow him on Twitter for more bad takes like that one.
